Opening week !
What can I say apart from a tale of 3 lakes.
After the previous weeks fiasco with the horrendous weather and flooding here, the opening weekend turned out to be a scorcher reaching 28 degrees.
Followed by massive storms on Monday night with 2 inches of rain, power cut and a big drop in temperatures and cold nights to follow, this weekend is hot again !!
Unfortunately we found 6 of the small stockies we saved at the start of the week so obviously didn’t make the transition after the flooding, but all seems ok and none since.
Simon’s lake
It was a real struggle for Tommy, Steve and Mark, with fish showing but not playing ball and with 1 lost fish was disappointing for us all. The guys worked very hard all week.
Was great seeing you again and Karen loved the flowers , thankyou so much x
North lake
Steve and Arnie were fishing and Arnie’s partner Gaynor came for a break. It was a reasonably OK week banking 13 x fish including 2 x 50’s to 54.07lb between them
Was great meeting you guys x
Jolly pads
Christopher, Mark and Paul had a great week landing 29 x fish between them , all beating their personal bests several times during the week ,
Their catch included 15 x 30’s and 3 x 40’s to 44.08lb, 9 x 20’s, 2 x doubles
Their was great banter this week with all the anglers, it was a shame the fish was not playing the game as the activity was so ongoing at times and we all like to see more banked, well done to everyone one of you this week it was a pleasure.
We would also like to thank everyone for the respect of our grounds and lawns here at edens to help preserve them and to finish drying out, as you all kindly left your cars/vans in designated areas and walked to us at the house for the meals each day,
.
