As the title states what a week we had, change over day was dull and full of drizzle and didn’t get around to cut the grass yet again, damn this weather but for the lads on the north lake started off well with another new fifty at 50.00lb and a 45.00lb and both new p/bests for two of the lads Michael and Shaun.After a few rumbles and light storms just skirting us the weather finally broke and boy did it get hot, Jolly pads started to get a fair few fish on the bank ,after a couple of days in and the hot temps and settled weather the fishing started to pick up on all the lakes North Lake especially with the Grey Italian gracing the bank at 59.00lb for Daz followed by the boxfish at 66.00lb for Gary/Oz again another p/best broken the fishing continued for Daz as he was on a roll and his spots were producing day after day,Simon’s lake was fishing hard again but with plenty of fish showing and crashing around but were not giving themselves up lightly and with a few fish hooked and lost spirits were down, meanwhile Jolly pads was still ticking along too but again a few fish lost to hook pulls also.The weather was still warm but muggy/overcast but the night time temps stayed and the fishing was getting better by the day,even with the odd bit of a shower moving in and out at times,Daz on the North Lake was top rod with a run of fish and to top it off he also banked the box fish at 66.00lb again breaking his personal best again and this was happening on all the lakes with personal bests dropping everywhere including Simons lake ,,fantastic news.
So after some of the most terrible rain in 35 years the week before this week has really settled down the fishing has continued and some great fish and big fish have been banked, so well done to all the anglers this week on all the p/bests and also to all that worked hard for the fish,great banter was had on all the lakes too which was great and made the week and we even got sun tans and I got some grass cut again lol, see you all again soon
