First week over and done with and nice to be open again with anglers here again…A mix of weather this week and ending in rain , but the fishing ticked over with 26 fish banked this week to 42.00lb with some nice 30’s to 39.12lb too, to back the catch report up on the complex,Although we did not break any records with numbers and monster fish wise this week with the fish just starting to wake up from the freezing water conditions and start getting on the feed, Carl and Martin still went home with p/bests caught from Jolly pads,well done guys great laugh and plenty of banter
The second week of the season was a very slow one with the mix of weather and only 13 fish managed to grace our banks with a fair few dropped fish which is always a shame when the fishing is already tough we have had sunshine during most days early on in the week then freezing conditions at night,then the cloudy cold days returned,But the lads cracked on.Next week looks like we have good weather coming in so lets hope these carp start waking up from these cold conditions.
we had a few personal best broken on Jolly pads this week with our Danish friend Theis returning to us for 5 days,he managed 3 fish to 38.07lb,
also mike and Brenden with fish to 35.05lb and both with p/bests,awaiting pics !
John on the North lake had a very good start to the week with 5 fish to 44.14lb
