What a week,terrible weather at times but also some nice days and got a tan on my face lol,Been working hard digging up road/tracks/driveways and fields as we have had a few leaks with our main water feed pipes from the north lake down to our courtyard which then feeds our 7 stock ponds,so had to dig and find old pipes and replace as much as possible and battle the rain and the water table and thick mud and clay and of course confusing French plumbing that ran everywhere, if you can call it that pmsl,but had some great help from my son Adam and good friend Bob on a fair few of the days work,but glad to say all sorted now and working and flowing again…..Thank god !
Just a few examples of the repair work of replacing over 100m of new pipe work and and me replace and adding the new rill and cementing back in after cutting down with a diamond blade.
Regarding the fishing again been up and down too with the weather fronts but been steady and some nice fish were caught and a fair few lost too which kept the catch rates down just a tad but hey that’s fishing.All the guys this week have been great and banter shown once again despite the conditions and me being the muddy trench monster most days working from morning until dark in what can only be described as mud glorious mud,clay and water. Below is the catches for the lakes and a few pics that i have and will add a few more when I receive them as some were on phones.I have a cracking one of Matt and his 53.00lb north lake mirror and p/best And well done to Rob on Jolly Pads with his 39 fish catch to 41.08lb.
