North Lake – Specimen Lake 1

5 Acres • 0.4 to 3 m Depth • Silty, Soft Hard Clay Areas

The North Lake is Eden’s Lakes our first specimen lake and at just over 5 acres in size

While it’s the most difficult and more technical lake on the complex to fish… it is therefore not for the faint -hearted. It is very hard to give advice in advance on the North Lake as it is always changing day to day,  week to week but that’s the challenge that we desire for a big fish venue. Dene will always be on hand give you the help, advice and his knowledge & experience as needed. All swims have various features and spots in front of them be it lumps, bumps, holes, silt beds, gravel patches and hard clay/sandy areas, full of naturals too. It can also be the most rewarding lake, with the average size of carp from a few 30’s a big head of 40’s, 50’s and 60’s upto 70lb. There are around 80 fish at the present time, but we have had a few natural home grown fish that we have chosen to leave in their natural habitat. New homegrown selected stock will be introduced gradually for 2024 if they reach their target weights

The Carp in the North lake love to grub around, so good beds of particle and pellets with a few chopped/whole Krill boilies works very well either to tight beds of spombed mix or using baitboats. North lake has 1 bank that has a single, a double and then two more single swims on one bank all made with bulky timbers with layers of hardcore and stone for good drainage and nice soft gravel on top for your bivvies. It is also great as a social bank and there is a natural grass swim for single/double on the back side of the lake. The North Lake can be for single, pairs or small groups to 4 anglers or  smaller exclusive bookings.

We have installed electric charging points behind the main North lake bank swims which are only suitable for charging baitboats/batteries, dvd players, laptops, I pads, mobile phones, for a small fee for the week if required. NOT SUITABLE FOR FRIDGES, COOL BOXES, FREEZERS OR HEATERS so please don’t bring them and try to use them as you will be asked to leave the complex if caught.

You also have the benefits of having the onsite toilet and shower facilities next to the lake.

Tesimonial North Lake Star Rating

After spending a week at the Eden’s Lakes complex I came away feeling both grateful & satisfied. I fished the North Lake which on first sightings can look a walk in the park, but don’t be fooled, the stock of the lake is hugely impressive and they don’t give themselves up easily which just adds to the appeal of the North, but with over 20x 50’s swimming about but also a few fish to over and in excess of 66.00lb

‘I fished the North Lake which on first sightings can look a walk in the park, but don’t be fooled, the stock of the lake is hugely impressive and they don’t give themselves up easily which just adds to the appeal of the North, but with over 20 50s swimming about, you don’t expect it to be easy.’

‘If you fancy yourself as abit of a specimen hunter then why not try your luck on the North Lake, home to fewer carp but much larger residents the small intricate water really is a challenge, but, get it right and the rewards are there for the taking.’
