Well what can i say,it was a very cold start to the start of the season for us at edenslakes this year, last year we was in our shorts with tops off getting sun burnt lol.
The weather has certainly affected the fishing side of things with the sudden drop in temps especially at night with the minus temps, but the lads battled on and had some great fish from the lakes with several personal bests being broken, the 30’s list keeps growing and of course the the 40’s as well with a few new additions in this bracket that have come through, the growth rates have been aceptional again over the winter, but the highlight came on thursday evening when tony sheekey had the north lakes first fifty of the season out at 50.08lb and was a new personal best for him also ,so big congrats to you buddy…so to all the lads on opening week fishing on all 3 lakes A BIG well done on fishing in very harsh and difficult conditions and sticking to it and catching some great fish, some great new friends were made this week.and i would also like to thank you guys for the help you gave me sorting that track out this week after that mini bus got stuck ,cheers everyone xx Dene,Karen and the boys going to miss the late night coffee and choccy biscuits
