After a couple of horrible weeks with the weather whilst building the new swims on the north lake we were all looking forward to this week for some time, Rob and Joe were coming but due to work they had to pull out but they managed to fill their boots with two great guys and anglers, Edd Betteridge and Matt Eaton, sponsored buy greys, chub, mainline but to name a few. They were only here for a short visit which was a shame as the temps soared and the first day was lost with their travel due to delays ect… but Edd did manage to snare a nice low 30lber the first night. The next couple of days proved difficult indeed with many changes of bait and tactics and watching the fish just boil, roll, head and shoulder, dolphin and general give us the FINGER right in front of us, even just under the rod tips which was frustrating in deed but a couple more 30s for Edd and Matt and a splendid 48lb+ on the last day for Edd made it worth while for a feature. PIC ABOVE. It was a great shame the guys were not here for a few days more as i feel they were just getting to grips with the lake and the fish were also just switching back on also after a very heavy feed on the naturals, but well done guys we all enjoyed your company and hope to see you again
THE FEATURE SHOULD BE OUT IN CARPOLOGY AROUND OCTOBER ISSUE.
